This 3 hour course is designed to introduce clinicians to general cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) principles, present strategies to overcome common engagement barriers and provide practice in CBT action planning and goal development.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the history and background of CBT.
- State the theoretical assumptions of CBT.
- Increase the repertoire of strategies to engage clients throughout the course of CBT.
- Use specific criteria to decide on appropriate cognitive/behavioral plans and goals.
- Identify, develop, and tailor cognitive behavioral intervention strategies that are linked to client action plans and goals.
